-=|| TIMELINE ||=-

Timeline poster (click to enlarge)

This is an excellent action/adventure timepiece. The novel is very good, and just screamed to be made into a movie.
The story: A group of archaeological students become trapped in the past when they go there to retrieve their professor. The group must survive in 14th century France long enough to be rescued.
For the movie previews I've seen, I can assure you this movie looks pretty good.
Paul Walker, well known by his part in the "Fast and Furious movies" here keep showing us what a good actor he is.

Found commentary:
"This movie does an excellent job with the "truth" behind the dark ages. While France is battling England in the 100 years war, archeologists are sent into the 14th century to save another person from the present. This is where the story picks up. At many points I found myself on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what would happen. The reality behind the movie was truly believable and I found myself wanting to know more when the movie ended. The romance was corny, but other than that, the movie was excellent and I recommend it to anyone who likes timepiece movies or action/adventure."

Plot Outline:

Chris Hughes (Paul Walker), Andre Marek (Gerard Butler), Kate Erickson (Frances O'Connor) and David Stern (Ethan Embry) are four college students working on an ancient medieval site in France. When their head Professor, Edward Johnson (Billy Connoly) goes missing, they are whisked off to America by a strange company known as ITC. The president of the company, insomniac Robert Doniger (David Thewlis), tells them about a new type of machinery he's created. A machine that can transport people to other dimensions in different timelines.
Professor Johnson has been stranded in the same site that the students are working on, just 500 years in the past! Now, as Hughes, Erickson and Marek travel back to rescue him, Stern stays back to find out what Doniger's really plotting.

Starring:

Paul Walker, Frances O'Connor, Gerard Butler, Billy Connolly, Ethan Embry, Anna Friel, Marton Csokas, Michael Sheen, Lambert Wilson, Matt Craven, David La Haye, Rossif Sutherland, David Thewlis, Richard Zeman, Mike Chute ...

This really seems to be a great movie for all viewers, especially those who love adventure, fantasy, sci-fi :)

= || Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban || =

Harry Potter is back :)
5 books already written; 2 movies made; and the 3rd movie is coming (in early 2004).
This time it's gonna be a different experience because this one is directed by Alfonso Cuaron (director of "Y tu mama tambien") while the first 2 were directed by Chris Columbus.

Plot Outline:

Harry Potter and his friends Ron and Hermione return as teenagers to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their third year of study, where they delve into the mystery surrounding an escaped prisoner who poses a dangerous threat to the young wizard. Gary Oldman plays Sirius Black, the eponymous prisoner whose escape is thought to pose a great threat to Harry Potter; Michael Gambon plays the role of Professor Dumbledore, Hogwarts' venerable headmaster; Timothy Spall portrays Peter Pettigrew, an old friend of Harry's father, James Potter, from their days at Hogwarts; David Thewlis plays Professor Lupin, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor who harbors a mysterious secret; Pam Ferris plays Harry's overbearing Aunt Marge; and Paul Whitehouse portrays Sir Caddogan, a Knight who becomes the temporary guardian of Gryffindor Tower.
Harry's life is in mortal danger again, this time more than ever. Firstly a killer named Sirus Black has escaped from azkaban prison, and it seems that he broke out just to finish what his master wanted to do 13 years ago, Kill Harry Potter! Also for Harrys' protection Azkaban has sent hundreds of Dementors to guard Hogwarts, in an attempt to catch Black. But will they turn out to be a great help? or a big mistake?...

Starring:

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Gary Oldman, David Thewlis, Peter Best, David Bradley, Julie Christie, John Cleese, Robbie Coltrane, Alfie Enoch, Tom Felton, Pam Ferris, Dawn French, Michael Gambon, Jimmy Gardner, Richard Griffiths, Joshua Herdman, Matt Lewis, Hugh Mitchell, Devon Murray, Katharine Nicholson, Chris Rankin, Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, Jim Tavare, Julie Walters, Jamie Waylett, Paul Whitehouse

My guess is that this movie will please thousands of young and old ones again :)
